Claiborne County Hospital was established in 1959 by a private act through Claiborne County, TN, and was built with county funds and grants through the Hill-Burton program.

   The organization is governed by a nine member board appointed through the Claiborne County Commission.

   Services Offered: General Acute Inpatient care, surgery, home health , hospice, long term care (see Nursing Home page), sleep center, radiology including CT scans, mammography, and MRI, and rehabilitation including physical, occupational, and speech therapies.

   Improvements/achievements:  Claiborne County Hospital was recognized as a Top 100 hospital for community value out of 3,300 hospitals.  Recognition was based on 9 indicators from three major categories: low charge to patients, low cost (efficiency of operations), and reinvestment in the plant and facilities.

   Long Range Plans/Goals include the following:

  • Continued emphasis on quality.

  • Remain competitive with diagnostic equipment and technology advancements.
