Pediatricians Speak at Hospital “Lunch and Learn”
August 17,
2007
Dr.
Raluca Papadopol and Dr. Mariel Castillo-Guanzon, pediatricians at
Multi-Specialty Medical, were the featured speakers for Claiborne County
Hospital’s “Lunch and Learn” community outreach program on August 16, 2007.
Dr. Papadopol’s presentation on “Migraines in Children”, and Dr. Castillo-Guanzon’s
presentation, entitled “Obesity and Metabolic Syndrome in Children”, were
very informative and inspired a great deal of discussion among those present
for the session.
Dr. Papadopol
is a graduate of Gr. T. Popa Medical School in Romania, and completed an
internship and residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan
before moving to Claiborne County. Dr. Castillo-Guanzon graduated from
medical school at the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines, and
received additional training from an internship and residency at the State
University of New York and Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Both Dr. Papadopol and Dr. Guanzon are board certified by the American Board
of Pediatrics.
