Claiborne County Healthcare Foundation Golf Tournament

 

The 10th annual Claiborne County Healthcare Foundation Golf Tournament was held Friday, September 24, 2010, at Woodlake Golf Course in Tazewell. While the morning round participants had a foggy start, the weather was beautiful, with sunny skies and a cooling breeze for most of the day. Once again, the tournament was very successful, with approximately $25,000 being raised for our local foundation. This year’s tournament proceeds will go toward renovations and equipment for the hospital’s Emergency Department. Forty-seven teams participated in the tournament this year. Claiborne County Hospital and Nursing Home, First Century Bank, Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Restoration Healthcare were the Championship sponsors of the event. Administrator Tim Brown stated, “We want to thank the community for your support of our Healthcare Foundation and our golf tournament. After ten years, the participation and support is overwhelming, and we appreciate everyone who participated in any way. We look forward to next year’s tournament, and hope everyone had a wonderful time”.
